On September 2, Fr. Sorgie received a letter from Timothy Cardinal Dolan to Deacon Anthony Viola congratulating him on his retirement from active ministry, effective August 25, 2022. We join his Eminence in thanking Deacon Viola for 24 years of service and ministry here at the Parish of Immaculate Conception and Assumption of Our Lady.

While underlining the tremendous work of the deacons in our Archdiocese and Parish, Cardinal Dolan gave personal thanks to Deacon Viola’s “diaconal ministry to those most in need of compassion and love."

May God give Deacon Viola many years of health and life with his family, friends, and the community of the church.
